Location: Gerry Gibeault's in Moore, ID Notes: Please sign up at the club's regular meetings. You can do day trips instead of camping if you choose. Bathrooms: If you did not bring a bathroom with you (tenters for example) we have bathrooms in our house for you. Tents: We have lots of room for tents. Camp Trailers: We have lots of room for camp trailers. We also have limited power and water hook ups but you may need long hoses and extension cords. Field Trips (depending on conditions trips may include): Hammond Canyon, Methodist Creek, & Ramshorn Rocks and Minerals: Agate, Jasper, & Horn Coral Fossils Suggestions: Bring a rain coat or at least a big plastic trash bag. Wear shoes that have good traction. No slick shoes in the field unless you don't mind sitting down often. Gloves are a good idea. I heard there may be little critters living under some rocks. Bring a bucket to hold your treasures. A small shovel or even a garden trowel may be useful Bring a light lunch, snacks, and water on the field trips. We may be a long way from civilization. Stay with your group. Be Safe Last Thought: All field trips end at the first sign of thunder or lightening. |
